【PARCO Publishing's 50th anniversary project "One Page BOOKSTORE" at Shibuya PARCO】

With the passing of the typhoon, a hint of autumn can be felt in the air. Starting tomorrow, September 6th (Friday), at Shibuya PARCO, our gallery director Nao Masaki has taken on the role of creative director for the 50th anniversary project of PARCO Publishing, which celebrates its 50th year this year.

In this project, while uncovering the "history" of PARCO Publishing's 50 years, we will open a fictional bookstore called "One Page BOOKSTORE" for one month to give a sense of the "future".

This bookstore consists of two sections: [Past / Future]. In the past section, we will sell carefully selected used books, including art books and photo books, from among the approximately 1,700 books published by PARCO Publishing over the past 50 years.

In the future section, we will sell books, zines, artworks, apparel products, miscellaneous goods, plants, etc., which have been selected by PARCO Publishing and sent out into the world as "self-expressive items" by 50+α Cultivators (people who cultivate) who herald a new era. We will also exhibit these items as a "one page" snapshot of their "present".

We look forward to welcoming you to a place (media) where you can encounter yet unseen new worlds, transcending the boundaries of "books" and "bookstores".

【One Page BOOKSTORE -1ページの本屋- 】

A "book" is not just knowledge or information.

It is a door that connects the encounter between the inside and the outside, and it is also like a key to open that door.

It is a moment that captures the time and space of a living human being, and it is life itself, where those moments accumulate.

The pioneers who cultivated the era, and the people who continue to cultivate the present.

We want to call the things they find interesting "books".
